If you're an action enthusiast for whom explosions alone is not enough for you, the Top Gun sequel really deserves some attention from you. If you've never seen the 1986 classic Top Gun, this sequel also stands good as its own movie. The movie brings back Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Tom Cruise) as a far older and far more seasoned veteran than he was. One of his trainees also happens to be the son of Maverick's best friend, essentially becoming a crucial emotional layer within the story. There's more to this movie than just jets and dogfighting: It's a passionate journey into the lives of its characters. Aerial stunts are what make this movie truly beautiful. You almost can feel the wind. To add to that credibility, Tom Cruise himself flew some authentic planes rather than using CGI. That kind of performance goes a far way in being noticed. The movie does really well in mixing the elements of nostalgia with modern twist. To put it simply: if Top Gun: Maverick was to be called just a sequel, it would be an insult to it. It's adrenaline filled, emotional scenes, and visually spectacular action makes it a great watch. Whether you've been part of this franchise since the 80s or new to it just this very day, do not miss this opportunity to watch it and that's why I have chosen this move with my friends for our week's task. All three of us like this movie so we have chosen Top Gun: Maverick for this weeks homework and written our ideas about the movie.
Have you seen this movie before? If you have not I would recommend watching it! If you have write your ideas in the comment section.
