As an ELT student and as a future teacher candidate in the 21st century, I have come to the realization that the ways of learning and teaching have evolved into something different. Now, the world we live in is a fast-paced, tech-driven environment that changes every second.
Language today isn't just about memorizing words and grammar. It's about engaging with the language, thinking, and expressing ideas with language. In 21st century technology is everywhere, including classrooms, so utilizing it should be a priority. With this age there are ways to learn language that never existed before, such as language apps, social media, entertainment media, and even AI. I didn't get into learning English by learning grammar structures and words in school; I got into it by playing English spoken games, watching series and movies. Even my parents sent me to English courses not because I was doing good in English classes, but I played this game called "Pixel Gun 3D" and started speaking and loving the English language.
Later in my life, I have found this this thing called "AI". This tool has been useful not only in my educational career but also in fixing things like my laptop and my motorcycle. Even though I find it unethical and lazy to straight up copy and paste what AI has given to you in academic texts, I find it useful for giving you ideas and templates to get inspiration from.
